After six years of serving the Ambiance Art Crew at the Oregon Country Fair, WeeWoo the Ambliance, a japanese kei-truck, has become an integral part of the crew and an icon for the fair family. Being a carbon emisions emitter and raising the noses of some, it is time to consider converting the kei-truck to an EV.
With encouragement and support from the community, I’ve been persuaded to launch the effort to transform WeeWoo into a zero-emission vehicle while remaining capable to perform the many tasks required of it’s use at the fair. Of course this will require capital to effect the changes and expertise to orchestrate the adaptation or build-out of the conversion. Hence, I have started the formation of a GoFundMe and building this web site and blog to promote the EV conversion of WeeWoo. Also, through these efforts, a network of expertise in different aspects of EV conversions is building.
I have a lot to learn with this process and have a number of people who are assisting me to thank. As things progress, I will post here with updates on process, progress, and work parties.
